My name is David Dmytryka, and I'm President of Dmytryka Jacobs Engineers. Dmytryka Jacobs Engineers specializes in automation of water and sewer facilities, mostly municipal. So when you turn the water on, we make sure that the controls allow the water to get to where it's going. Flush a toilet, we make sure the controls are there to get it to where it's going and to get it clean. Some days I sign checks. Some days I have to talk to employees. Some days I even do a little bit of real engineering work but mostly it's administrative, it's corporate management, it's making sure everybody's in the right places and they have what they need to do their job. When I first started, I was actually back in the day on a drafting board with a pencil, drawing lines on paper that would become plans that somebody would build sewer lines with. And as I got more experience and older, I got into pumping systems and actually designing engineering systems. As I continued on, there was a need for the company to have somebody to do automation, to do controls, meter flows, to turn pumps on and off and things like that. And that's what I got involved in, and it grew from me being learning on the job to running a company that does that. We've got a project where they're at their wastewater, sewer plant, and we're upgrading the entire control system for their plant. We've got a project manager in charge, and he has a couple of guys working for him that gets things done. They have to design control panels with the electronics in there. Once they get approved, we have to assemble 'em and then an electrical contractor will do the installation. Then we come in and make sure that it's put in properly. My role is to make sure that they get their products when they need it, that the project manager has the people available and trying to balance his needs with the needs of the other project managers is sort of where the balancing act comes in, where when you're the guy at the top you're the one responsible for making sure that happens.
