>> So my name is Derek Carpithich [assumed spelling]. I work as a production engineer for Bosch Rexroth. We make industrial automation equipment. If you need something moved, specifically along a conveyor, we have VarioFlow plus conveyors is what our product line is called. And then we have other units called lift-- vertical lift transfers that move things in a-- a shorter period to get them to maybe a different conveyor. And then you have our system and standard modules that they are the things that you attach devices to be able to fill up a product or move a product or a Cartesian system to move something in a very specific way. As a production engineer it's my responsibility whenever there's a problem out on the production floor. Right now we just implemented an and on system; they're going to push a button that's red, that means it's my responsibility to go out there and see what their problem is that they can't move any further. And so based on which product line it is I have to go out there, see what their problem is, try and diagnose it and see if I can't figure out what's wrong and get them back going. Sometimes I have to work with design engineers, production planning; I have to work with almost all different areas within the facility to get them up and going. When I'm not fixing problems it's my responsibility to try and figure out ways to make everything better, more efficient, faster, whether I'm designing new work stations or designing tooling to then bring to life to make their lives easier. I'm always listening to the people on the floor and what they think the need to get their job done better and they're very helpful.
